We Built This Place Because
We Believe Every Child is an Artist
Maker Creator Artist was born out of friendship, creativity, and the shared belief that kids learn best when they are free to make, explore, and get a little messy.
Our Story
How MCA Came to Be
Megan and Amy met over a decade ago. Their friendship grew alongside their families, and somewhere in the middle of playdates and creative afternoons with their kids, they discovered something: nothing lights a child up quite like the freedom to make something of their own.
That became the seed of Maker Creator Artist.
MCA is built on the idea that everyone is an artist. Creative expression lives in all of us and starts when we are very small. Imagination takes physical form in the things we make - a rainbow painting, a macaroni necklace, a mound of dirt disguising an epic volcano. Inspiration comes from everywhere: our family, friends, a pet fish, the sky on a cloudy day, a ruby red apple, a shiny button.
When we see a cardboard box, we wonder what else it could be. MCA thrives on the process of answering that question.
We guarantee that no two projects will look the same at the end of class, because although we all start with the same materials, every child brings their own imagination. Here, it is not important that a project is finished. What matters is engaging with the process. We celebrate the wonder of discovery.

Meet the Team
The people behind MCA are parents, creatives, and believers in the power of making things. We can’t wait to meet your family.
Guest Teachers
From time to time, MCA welcomes guest teachers who bring fresh perspectives, new techniques, and their own creative passions into the studio. We’ll introduce them here as they join us.
Art Has No Rules Here
We practice process art. That means the experience of creating is always more important than the finished product. There is no right way to make art at MCA. Kids are free to explore, experiment, and surprise themselves.
We believe that when children are given the freedom to create without judgment, something remarkable happens. They build confidence. They learn to problem solve. They discover what they love. And they have a genuinely great time doing it.
No two projects ever look the same, and that is exactly the point.
